I had a few minutes to play with Microsoft Publisher and drew up these diagrams for my Hot Cocoa Holder. Definitely easier to follow them the tiny little diagrams that I hand drew!:) The first template makes the assumption that you have a 12' x 12' piece of cardstock to work from. However, if you are like me you have a limited number of sheets of 12' x 12' cardstock and not a one of them in the color that you want to use. So I drew up a couple of templates that use 8 1/2' x 11' sheets of cardstock (which is what I actually used). You'll have to glue the two pieces together at the binding but that's not a big deal if you have some super sticky tape like Sticky Strip or Terrific Tape. Hopefully this will answer any questions that you might have (I've already gotten a couple).
If not, just let me know.:) P.S. I affix the marshmallows and hot cocoa packets to the inside of the holder with glue dots so that they do not fall out.
There are some people in your life that just touch your heart and over the holidays you want to give them a kind gesture to tell them how much you appreciate them. Each year, I struggle with this. I want to give them something special, but I also don’t want to break the bank because I have my family members and best friends to buy for. So this year, I thought I’d make homemade DIY hot cocoa kits. I wanted to give these kits a little kick so I added a mini bottle of Baileys to the mix. Of course you can skip the Baileys if you’re sending one to your child’s teacher (although, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind it). This gift is also great for your co-workers, secret Santa and stocking stuffers.
They are also a great party favor for a holiday party. Supplies:. Washi tape. Baker’s twine. Mason jar.
Scissors. Resalable plastic bag. Hammer. Free printable Ingredients:. Hot cocoa mix (I used four packets per jar).

TIPS & TRICKS: Most Important: When cutting out.MOVE THE PAPER.NOT THE SCISSORS! It makes a huge difference in how easy it is to cut something out evenly. In some instances when you begin to print it will appear that the picture is too large for the page. In this case you would want to choose borderless on your printer, and make sure that the box fit to frame is unchecked. For all of the printables I would highly recommend that if you are using an inkjet printer you spray them with an artist clear coating. I like to use Krylon Satin Finish. I usually spray one coating, let dry for about twenty minutes, and then spray again.
Inkjet printers spray the ink onto the paper as opposed to laser printers which actually melt the ink into the paper. The result is that one will easily run, and the other won't. If you want your printables to stay crisp, then spraying them is the least expensive way to go. If you prefer you can always purchase waterproof paper for inkjet printers, it's a little pricey, but if the cost is not a deal breaker, the waterproof paper is the best choice. You can find some information to start with here POPCORN BOXES: If you are putting popcorn into the POPCORN BOXES, you might want to either line the container with wax paper or place the popcorn in a little plastic bag before putting into the popcorn boxes.
TEA BAG ENVELOPES: On most of the envelopes I have left the top flap a little longer. This is to make it easy for anyone who would like to use decorative scissors, border punches, etc for that special finish.
PAPER: If you are making cards or double sided printables that need to be sturdy, cardstock is a good choice, however, if you need photo quality, a good double sided photo paper is the best choice. You can find ROYAL BRIGHTS double sided photo paper at many stores or online for a really reasonable price. The reason I suggest this is because most regular photo paper has the company name or logo on the reverse side, and you really don't want that. PINCH BAGS: If you are making pinch bags I've found that using little Velcro dots on the inside of the front flap gives a much more finished look to the bag. You can find these at any craft or sewing shop. They have adhesive on the one side which makes it very easy to stick. In addition you can put a little adhesive on the front of the flap and tack on a bow or some other cute embellishment.
Almost all of the printables can be personalized. If this is something you may need regarding a listing, please be sure to ask before purchase. It can most often be done with no additional charge. Many of the items you see in the shop, such as invitations can be purchased in quantity with a special Quantity price. Please convo me with the details as to how many you would need.PLEASE REMEMBER. This is so important if you don't want any colors to run.
If you are using an inkjet printer it is probably best to spray your projects with either a clear acrylic sealer, Matte not glossy (Plaid makes a very good one that you can get in any craft store) or hair spray if you don't have a sealer. Something about a tall glass of chocolate milk, good ol' 2%, warm skim, or a hot cup of milk with cocoa mix stirred in, always brings back nostalgic feelings from my childhood. I could have gone through a gallon of milk every 2 weeks growing up. So when got milk? Contacted me about sharing a post that represents the energy and strength milk provides for young and old, along with the protein and 9 essential nutrients that milk provides to fuel a brighter future, I was happy to join in on spreading the message in my own way, by sharing a milk based recipe that would spotlight the pure, simple and classic beverage, with a festive seasonal twist! This warm pumpkin pie spiced chocolatey indulgence, is a great way to help get kids to drink their milk to become healthy, strong adults, while still inciting their taste buds.

I'm not sure which part of a snowy day our daughter likes more, playing in the snow or the mug of hot chocolate she gets when she comes inside. Because this is a part of our winter fun, we wanted to turn it into a winter craft for kids. This hot chocolate craft is incredibly easy to do (especially with our provided mug template) and the best part is that your child gets to paint with real chocolate syrup! As a warning, it is almost impossible to do this cute winter craft without making a real mug of hot chocolate or at the very least a glass of chocolate milk. What you'll need:. Light weight cardboard (we used an empty cereal box).
Paint. Paint brushes. Chocolate syrup.
Small white pom-poms. Stickers. How to make your Hot Chocolate Mug Craft.
Print our mug template and cut it out. Trace it onto a piece of cardboard and cut that out. Paint the mug any color you would like and set aside to dry.
When dry, Draw a semi-circle at the top of the mug. This is where you will paint in the chocolate. Have your child decorate the rest of the mug using stickers or markers.
Paint on a heavy layer of chocolate syrup at the top of the mug. We found that a dabbing motion made the smoothest effect. While the chocolate is still wet, add the pom-poms to it (no need for glue).
